Trying to play Freespace using the GOG Galaxy launcher on my Mac.

The joystick works for other games but refuses to work for Freespace. When I launch the game, I click setup and select USB joystick. I've tried redirecting joystick but still nothing.

Anyone got it to work? I have a simple Thustmaster Joystick.

I would recommend upgrading your Freespace to Freespace Open. You will get way better graphics as well as a Windows launcher. They also include the Freespace 1 upgraded within Freespace 2 Open as well as dozen of other campaigns.

As for your problem go into the Game Control Panel and make sure your stick is set to Preferred Device under Advanced settings. Also note that Freespace will only see the first few devices as they appear in the Game Control Panel list.
