It seems that you're using an outdated browser. Some things may not work as they should (or don't work at all).
We suggest you upgrade newer and better browser like: Chrome, Firefox, Internet Explorer or Opera

goggygoog: I agree. I only like to upgrade when needed.

I'm also on 1920x1080, and I've tried everything that's been suggested. Unfortunately nothing works. I even tried downgrading to Wine 9.

I think this is one of those times when I have to throw in the towel and hope that someone with more Wine and/or Proton experience can come up with a solution.
Pls make a ticket to support about all this so they can take a look at it :)
Some of you ppl must be missing some odd little media packet or something but how to figure out what it is I dont know then sry. And its clear from the other sites forum posts about this that the dev team isnt super interested in working this out to provide a fix, or perhaps they smiply cant because they no longer own the game or something so its the publisher we need to aim the evil glare at.

Anyway, sry for the ppl who this fix doesnt work for, it really is a great game tbh, an easy 4 star from me for the time being.
Hopefully they can add what is missing, but ppl need to contact support then :)

Btw, had you also tried via Heroic Games Launcher? It might be worth just checking if Heroic has some preinstalled thing for this!

Check if it works now, there was a patch yesterday that installed some GOG redist, maybe its just the same dll we alr tried that didnt work for you but maybe its something else so it works now.
Link to the missing dll on game page now too but you alr tried that so I guess that wont work.

Also, try this package in image?

still no luck. Its not an issue with openal (it specifically complains about openal when its not installed, after installing I get a different error). I'm now on wine 11.7 (staging).

Jinini: Works for me, playing it right now.
I had to manually install OpenAL Runtime 2023 from winetricks to the game prefix to get it working, after that no problem so far.
Thank you for this! This was the missing piece to the puzzle for me as well. Once I installed this, the game runs just fine.
I was not able to play it on Debian as well. Tried system's Wine, Lutris, Heroic with various Proton and GE versions, as new as 11 and as old as 9, to no avail. After installing openal it always crashes immediately with a bunch of generic errors. All this makes me believe that Wine/Proton version makes no difference here, and the problem lies somewhere else entirely.
