Any expectation on a full release date? Even a target of Q3, 2020, whatever. I am not keen on buying any game in dev, but this one has always appealed to me, especially so now that Lethis 2 is dead.

We estimate the game will be in Early Access for around a year but it is too early to give a more definite timeline at the moment.

Luckily, a year isn't that long, considering I really like what I'm seeing and reading so far. Good work. :-)
I'll continue keeping my eyes on Foundation and I will probably get it this year, but might wait for full release before playing.
I hope it all goes well during development. :-)

There is no ETA for full release at this point. We have extended the Early Access period as we still have much more content and gameplay to come.

We will continue to update the game and announce more information on an estimated release schedule when we are closer to the full release.

Almost all entries in the trello board are from 2018. I feel a bit worried about the future of this project. Is there really active development for this project?
I have been following this (not super close, just checking in every few months) for some time now and it does not seem to move forward.

I'm not sure where you are looking on the trello roadmap but the majority of entries in before/to release were added in 2020, and the completed and working on sections have been shuffled as we continue to develop the game.

There have also been a number of updates which you can see announcements for right here on the GOG forums.

I like to memorialize this as a reminder to myself why I dont purchase EA games. And before anyone gets on their high and mighty horse, I am asking because I would like to one day purchase this complete game, not start a political discussion on the value of EA and Global Thermonuclear War. Leave me to my own snark which I have earned by keeping this question annual over the course of three years.

My usual query: any update on a release date?

Which looks like great stuff, only lacks the mentioned release schedule. I am no Trello expert by any stretch so its possible I am missing it, but schedules imply dates which I see none of.

There are no dates in that announcement as it could be quite harmful were we not able to meet those dates. As per our normal practice, we will release more information as we get closer to update rollouts.

In this sense, the schedule refers to the plan for the year (2021) rather than actual dates and times.

With regards to full release, we will post an announcement when we have more details on the planned full release date but for now, as you can see, there is much planned for the year and as such there is no ETA on full release at this time.

They're still working on it after 3+ years AND they still remember that their GOG customer base exists. That actually is pretty impressive.

The release date window prediction kinda aged like milk :p

And yes, I'm not forgetting GOG at all. In fact, I come here about once a week to see if there are any new posts/discussions.

We're currently hard at work on 1.9 and will share more details in the coming weeks. In fact, we already started giving glimpses of what's in store (albeit on Steam only), I should probably compile the info for GOG too!

New year, same question! Any news on a full production release date?


Side note, this thread gives me an amazing perspective on my life. What I once obsessed over and barely care about now. Employees this thread has lasted longer than. Weight, I have gained and lost. Kids graduating. Time progressing. Its amazing really.
