Good morning dear Foundation team :)

Because the mechanics looked interesting I bought it, but now I installed it, it fails to run. When I click 'Play' in the GOG launcher, the button turns grey, 5 seconds later it turns purple again.

Perhaps my antiquated hardware is the problem:

i3-6100
8 gb ram

Might this be an issue?

Thanks for any insights you may have & happy new year :)

Happy New Year to you too!

Sorry to hear you are having issues starting the game. In most cases this is down to either:
1. Outdated or corrupt graphics drivers - Try a Clean Install of the most up to date drivers.
2. Something blocking access to the Documents folder - This could be anti-virus, Onedrive or other security software.
You can add exceptions to AV but if this doesn't help then trying adding the following to the game Launch parameters in GOG:

-userpath C:/Foundation2

This will change the game files path to another folder outside of Documents.

With regards to your PC, the CPU though not the best should run the game but you did not add the GPU to the list. This is, as important, particularly if you only have an integrated GPU which is likely going to struggle to play the game.

If you are still having issues after checking the above suggestions then please send us an email with the following files attached:
a. The foundation.log file found here: \Documents\Polymorph Games\Foundation (or in the new folder if you use the above launch parameter)
b. A Dxdiag report, more info on how to produce this can be found here.

You can chat with us directly on our official Discord server or send the files to us via email to support@polymorph.games
Hi and thank you for the quick response. Unfortunately it didn't help, results were similar to the first try. As I haven't got a graphics card, that'll probably be it. Then I'll be waiting for the new pc to arrive. Keep up the good work, can't wait to play :)
