As described, in EoB for Mac I finished the game completing all the twelve special quests, obtaining the special password (anyone knows for what it woks?). No Ending movie but the game "crashes" and esc in OSx.
Then, outside Gog Galaxy is it easy to import the party in Eob2 and 3, any known trouble about?
Thanks

ps. I tried to copy EOBDATA.SAV from Eob1 to Eob2: when I try to load the previous party it shows me four character never seen before... WTH?

I can't help you with that, and the game definitely shouldn't crash, just as a sidenote: From what I remember EOB1 ends with a simple text message, there is no ending movie.

The first EoB doesn't have an ending movie or even only credits. You get a "well done" screen with some text, and the game simply ends and quits back to DOS. This might appear as if it were crashing since DOSBox itself will also instantly quit once the game does, and so you end up back in OS X.

There is an animated ending... just not on the PC version, as they couldn't fit it on the disc. It was reinstated for the later Amiga release, so you can look that up on Youtube to see what was supposed to happen.

In fact! I remember it, playing Eob on Amiga 600.
Then, anyone does definitely know how does it work the password obtained by completing all twelve Special quests?
Thanks

Were you able to import your eob2 characters into eob3?

How did you do that?

Could you help me with the procedures?

Thanks!

No, I coudn't. I asked how to do it in another thread, but I didn't receive any answer yet.
Anybody out there, please, help us!
I beat EOB1 the other day, and just copied the save file, EOBDATA.SAV to the EOB2 root directory, and after hitting TRANSFER EOB1 PARTY on the EOB2 main menu it imported my EOB1 party and it was smooth sailing from there. Was very simple and worked without a hitch when I did it. I'm sure that doesn't help your problem much but i just wanted to report that I was able to import to EOB2 without trouble.

I worked it out too; the problem now is how to transfer Eob2 party into Eob3, just beacause using charcopy program doesn't work with a Mac.
Oh crap my bad, I didn't read it closely enough and missed the EOB2>3 part. Well I will get there sooner than later and will update if I have any problems.

Wouldn't it work in or stock [url=http://www.dosbox.com/]DOSBox?

Please, explain it.
I run, as normal, the charcopy.exe (I recall you I have a Mac) only in dosbox because cannot in any other ways, using the launch program set by GOG, as bought.
Everything seems going well, but then, when I try to "Summon the heroes of Darkmoon", they're not there and the game says to run first (again, as I didn't yet) the charchopy blah blah blah...

Where in Finder do you have DOSBox save the TRANSFER.SAV file?

Tricky's transfer guide:

CHARCOPY does nothing more than copying a SaveGame from EOB2 into the EOB3 directory, where the game will transfer the first four characters into EOB3 (so you cannot choose like in the transfer from EOB1 to EOB2).

Here goes, the savegame files in EOB2 are called EOBDATAx.SAV

is the top savegame
EOBDATA1.SAV the second and so on.

If you managed to defeat the boss, you'll also see a file FINAL.SAV which contains the final data about your characters as they are after beating him.

Copy the desired file into you EOB3 folder, you can just do that with the default Finder tools, of which I suppose you know how to use them.

Now go to your EOB3 directory and rename the savegame file you just copied to TRANSFER.SAV

Now run the game and use "Summon the Heroes from Darkmoon". After you did that the first four characters of EOB2 should now appear in EOB3

If CHARCOPY doesn't work, that method will.... ;)
Either copy FINAL.SAV or which ever normal save, EOBDATAx.SAV under ~/Library/Application Support/Boxer/Gamebox States EoBII .boxerstate bundle to ~/Library/Application Support/Boxer/Gamebox States EoBIII .boxerstate bundle. Rename the file to TRANSFER.SAV in the EoBIII .boxerstate bundle. You may need to create a generic save in EoBIII before the EoBIII .boxerstate is created.
