Just finished Pool of Radiance and was looking forward to moving my characters over to Curse of the Azure Bonds, but keep getting a weird error when trying to import from Pool.

I saw the YouTube tutorial put up for Windows, but the MacOS package doesn't really look anything like the Windows file structure, so I don't see that tutorial being helpful to me.

I've tried dropping the characters from their party in PoR, but that doesn't seem to help. Anybody have any other ideas?

Good news: The file structure is reproduced inside the MacOS package! More details here:

You don't want to drop the characters, but I believe removing them might be helpful.

What we want to back up is
SAVGAMn.DAT (n=(A:J)), the CHARLIST.TXT and various character files ending with .CHA, .ITM and .SPC.

I believe that on Mac OS what we should do is tamper with the .conf and .CFG files inside the Current.boxerstate files for both Pool and Curse –and don't forget Hillsfar, the completion of which unlocks special content in Curse– so that our "save disk" can be exported and recognized. I haven't actually done so myself yet.

Thanks, that's helpful! i'll go back to the tutorial and see if that answers the rest of my questions.
