How does it work? The character transfer program doesn't pick up the save even if I specify the directory correctly and the workaround with copying FINAL from EOB2 to EOB3 directory and renaming it to TRANSFER kinda works but it only picks up the first four characters and leaves whoever was in the last row behind.
That kinda sucks as I put one of my main characters there, the most important one perhaps as it was the full on cleric. EOB 2 let me handpick my transfered characters so this seems really stupid.

That's odd. I transferred my party from EoB2 to EoB3 and I'm pretty sure it asked me which characters I wanted to transfer in. I always had my mage/thief and priest in the back row and they made it into EoB3. Plus, I remember San-Raal (sp?) being an option to keep, but I wanted to keep my original characters.

Did you use that character transfer program?

I think I copied the file into the EoB3 directory and then used EoB3 itself (not the separate character transfer program) to import the characters. I'll take a look at my system tonight to see if I can tell how I did it.
OK, I just went into the menu and told it to transfer and it did not give me the option to pick which characters I wanted to bring along, so maybe I did just have my characters as the first four. Try looking at this post:

If following the instructions in that post don't work, you could load your last saved game before the final battle in EoB2, reorder your party and make another save and then use that file for importing into EoB3.

Did you successfully get your party imported? I just finished playing the game last night, so I could try to replicate the process I used to get my characters imported from EoB2 and let you know how it goes.
