I am trying to do PoD once more, trying to use GBC and the game.exe 2 2 Helm line and keep getting an error for not finding the first person's name, or I found another way where I can either use the alt+x and no GBC, or can't use alt+x but can use GBC. What do I need to edit or change to get them both to work with the GOG version at 1.10?

The memory layout is probably different when those debug parameters are used so GBC can't find the characters. Meaning that it just won't work.

joonashgog: The memory layout is probably different when those debug parameters are used so GBC can't find the characters. Meaning that it just won't work.
Is there anything I can do to go through it with both? from the GOG version? Like use version 1.00? I did notice the startup goes to a VACE application first before it goes to the game.exe, so I know this is where the problem stems from.

You could try the older version of GBC:
http://gbc.zorbus.net/gbc201.zip

It is of course missing a lot of features of the new versions.
