sowega: I got as far as the Application Support folder, but can't find "Boxer" - is there an updated name/folder?

01kipper: Yes, GOG doesn't use Boxer for their mac installers anymore because Boxer Standalone isn't 64-bit compatible, they have changed all the installers to DOSBox.

Assuming you are NOT using GOG Galaxy:
You can now find the save files inside each game app itself (right-click and select Open on the game app). For example:
Pool of Radiance/Contents/Resources/game/POOLRAD/
Curse of the Azure Bonds/Contents/Resources/game/SAVE/
etc.

(If you're using GOG Galaxy, I don't know exactly where the saves are, I think it's a cloudsave directory inside the Galaxy folder or something like that).
I use Galaxy on Mac and managed to transfer characters from Pool of Radiance to Curse of Azure Bond the way you described.

Thanks for the tips. I'm still struggling on a Mac.

I moved everything from the PoolRad directory to the Curse SAVE directory. I presume I can skip using COPYEXE, because I've done the copying myself, now? Hopefully so, because I can never get COPYEXE to work (selecting Other for origin and destination and allowing the default answers).

If I select Add Character to Party from Pool in Curse, nothing happens.

I use Boxer to run the games because the GOG versions won't launch on my OS.

I don't actually see any CHA files in the PoolRad directory. I've removed characters from party, but still don't see any CHAs.

Thanks for any tips you have,

Boxer stores the save game and characters in a different location. Try:

>Library>Application Support>Boxer>Gamebox States

Within that folder, Boxer will create folders for each game, the folder name consists of multiple letters and numbers and is different each time. You can probably tell which is the correct one by the 'Date Modified' column. Inside that folder you will find a "Current.boxerstate" file. Right-click on that file and choose 'Show Package Contents' then navigate to >C.harddisk>poolrad

Within that folder are the CHRDATA files.
