Hi all,

I'm currently starting an Unlimited Adventures "the Realm" campaign. My characters are working their way through Game 2: The Keep on the Borderlands. I'm having a great time, but I'm starting to realize that the game is broken. Before anyone asks, yes, I am running UAShell.

Here's what's wrong:

1. Out-of-place wallsets. Numerous cave walls are replaced by the "coral" graphical set. The "dark pool" (the game's description) in the bugbear cave appeared as a fireplace.

2. Perhaps more concerning - and less obvious, from the start - there is no armor. Instead of armor, I get enchanted weapons. Shops that say they sell weapons and armor sell weapons and enchanted weapons. Enemy parties drop weapons and enchanted weapons. This would be annoying (but not gamebreaking) if it weren't for the fact that every time an enemy party would normally drop armor, my characters all get somewhere between 300 and 800 XP! Needless to say, they are rapidly becoming too strong for this module. Oh, and whenever the game says I should get a potion, I get armor - usually enchanted.

Anyway, what's going on here? I understand that fanmade modules are going to be kinda buggy, but this is ridiculous. Has anyone else played this one and had these problems? For what it's worth, this isn't the first adventure I've sent this party on, and the same problems were apparent on the previous one (REF5: Skeletons).

Never heard about this problem, so you have probably installed it wrongly somehow.
Have you installed the game in Program Files by any chance?
And which program do you run to start the game? It should be Uashell.bat through DOSBox.

So, it turns out that I was not using UAShell properly. I thought I could simply install UAShell and run games as usual, but it turns out it's not that simple. When I run B2 from the UAShell, rather than starting it normally, it works fine.

Thanks for the help!
