Hey all,

I am trying to get these games setup for a first time run through them, but I'm having a few issues with POR. I've installed the first four Gold box games and they all look fine. GBC connects to them and everything looks like it should. However, with POR, I have the GOG Settings button grayed out.

It detects the game properly and hitting "start game" does open it properly (though in full screen). There's just no way for me to change the full screen options or the screen3x deal.

It's reading from $1000000 to $2000000 and when I change it to $F000000, nothing is any different... not sure what to do about it.

Any thoughts from you guys? Appreciate any help I can get.

GOG has changed the file name of its settings executable and GBC can not find it. You can run it from the Start-menu under Pool of Radiance, it's called something like "Screen mode".

Ok I am having the same issue, GBC has the GOG settings button greyed out so i can't click on it to change anything, and I have Windows 8.1 so i have no start menu, can someone please help.

Shouldn't the game install create shortcuts in the Win8 menu? I don't remember how the Win8 menu works.


If not, try this:

- Go in to your Pool of Radiance folder and from there into the DOSBOX subfolder.

- You should see a file called GOGDOSConfig.exe. Create a shortcut of it (right click -> create shortcut).

- Edit the properties of the created shortcut (right click -> properties).

- In the target-field, after the filename, add a space and this number: 1432640961

- Click ok. You should now be able to run it.

- Even better: if you now rename this file to "DOSBox Configuration" and copy it to the root folder of Pool of Radiance, you should now be able to run it from GBC as well.
