In EOB, how does armour affect multiclass characters?

E.g. If I have a fighter/thief and wear chain mail, does that mean I can't do any of the thief stuff well? If so does that mean I have to take off my chain mail to pick a lock etc?

E.g 2. If I have a figher/mage can I still not cast stuff properly if I wear armour heavier than cloth?

Armor has no effect. A fighter/thief in plate can still pick locks and a fighter/mage in plate can still cast spells.
