Since they play in Dosbox, you could try creating your own keyboad layout and mapping B to a different key, or a combination (like ctrl+v), so you don't miss a key. And then having Dosbox use that.

Alternatively you can try asking if it's possible to hack the game to remap keys, maybe more people would check that kind of thread. If nothing else works, you could try starting a game on a difference PC (play the game on a USB stick) and then transfer the save file and use it. And hope there's not more B keys needed in the game.
