Is the game as hard as the demo? I'm getting my ass handed to me. I read some of the post about the game getting easier as you upgrade but the demo is flat out (no pun intended) impossible. I can't turn one corner without winding up in another zip code. It's like being in a race car driven by my mom!

I haven't played the demo but yeah the game is pretty tough.
The full version has an Arcade option though, so maybe you should try that.

Yeah I figured for 2.99 and the praise everyone else gave it, it was worth a little difficulty so I picked it up. Thanks

BTW Love the avatar and ALSO I'm Dutch descent; family moved here four generations ago. I suppose that makes me absolutly zero dutch in the grand scheme but I still keep the flag hanging over my bed.
Haha, the Dutch are everywhere. XD
Nice to hear you care about your heritage, I hope to see North Americe someday.

I didn't regret buying FlatOut even though I got cursing and steaming from frustration through it, I like the touch of realism that goes with all the carnage.
Only thing is with those simulators is that half your skill comes through good settings with your controller (I used a gamepad) and I needed low sensitivity for the steering for example.
Flatout 1 and 2 are the best. Ultimate Carnage was ok for me and Flatout 3 sucked.
UPDATE.
The demo it turns out is WAY harder than the game. I didn't realize the demo only offers the lightest, least capable, biggest piece of sh&t on the planet to drive. That, and there is ZERO stability help. The game isn't easy, but it's not even close to the difficulty of some other racing games I've played. More than that, it has a sense of humor and it's more realistic in that I could concievably actually drive a car like the ones in Flatout. Any NFS fans out there ever actually SEE a real Mclaren much less drive one?! Didn't think so.
