It has game breaking bugs: my job permission didn't work, i had to replay the level. On top of that the game a completely broken combat system, where you can't hit point black, but enemies can, and most of the time hits just don't register. Hazards don't hit you most of the time, i could walk on electrified floor and past electrified walls without taking any damage. What the heck? Was this game originally like that, or is it just this version that is broken?

I know... I should've known better than to buy another one of these cheap-ass "retro ports". Usually they are left to some small developers with no resources for proper QA.

I guess I thought it looked like they at least made some effort with this one, and actually added some nice features to make it worth it to not just use an emulator.

I don't even know if the devs are active here. Just hope it doesn't end up abandoned right after release like so many games.

An emulator would be better than this. Looks like i ruined my first impression of this amazing game (just seen footage from snes/megadrive, and everything works there, melee attacks work and everything just feels right. The rewind system is a great addition to this version (gog/switch), but the amount of bugs that are present just makes it the worst version to play.

You can run it under REminiscence, though it will not have all the fancy features that the new one has as its based for the original 1992 version just with a few tweaks. (No rewind, but you can save at any time.) I posted a guide here on how to run it with it.

I'm wondering myself.

Just launched it for the first time, had a look in the submenus and then was choosing what mode I wanted to start my first game in and it just crashed. Not a great first impression.
