Swishtail: Apparently this is a widespread issue. Any solutions? GOG?
OldHat: Run the gog installer as an admin. Then open the installation folder and find "epic" cfg. Alter "DoVideo=1" to 0.
Game works, just without any cut scenes. Whilst this detracts from the immersion & story, the missions are fully playable. Capture the objective markers or rout/destroy all enemy forces. You don't need the script to tell you that anyway.
How do you get it to work with the cutscenes though?
SasauCat: Same issue
One of the main reasons I bought this game is to watch those majestic cutscenes lol. Don't tell me I have to remove them to get it to work
PartialPhony: If you want to play the game with cutscenes all you have to do is go to the where you downloaded the game and go to the video folder then you just have to remove
FLINTRO,
HDILOGO2, and
SSI_LOG from the folder and when you start the game it will jump to the main menu and you can play the game with all the rest of the cutscenes.
This lets you watch the first mission video but the game crashes after the video is over
