After disabling the video, I managed to get the main menu to load, but now nothing is happening. The music is still playing, but the cursor seems to be stuck in the bottom right corner. When I try to actually move the cursor, there's some graphics glitches like it's moving, but I can't click on anything.

Anyone have an idea how to fix it?

I have the exact same problem - well, the cursors sits in the middle of the screen for me. Game doesn't seem to have crashed, hitting Esc+Spacebar still exits the game, as it should.

PC specs in case it helps:
Acer Aspire laptop
CPU: i5-2450M.
GPU: GF 610M / Integrated Intel HD Graphics.
OS: Win 7/64bit.

Same problem here. The menu screen freezes, but the game itself seems to keep running.
I can even see a few pixels changing color around the top 1/4'th part of the screen when I move the mouse.

Edit - Just remembered. When I press Ctrl-Alt-Del, I get a quick glimpse of another menu-screen.
I run on:
CPU: i7-2630M
GPU: GF 555M / Integrated Intel HD Graphics.
OS: Win 7/64bit.

Anyone have any luck here?

LOVE the game and was so excited to see it on GOG just to be terribly disappointed when it did not work.

Here is what Genoan sent me when I contacted Technical Support.

"Hello

1) Please make sure that you use "Run as Administrator" to install and to start the game (right click on the shortcut or setup file and select "Run as Administrator").

2) Please update your graphics device drivers:
https://downloadcenter.intel.com/
3) Please try to start the game with a second display attached or follow this tutorial to create a virtual one:

IT WORKED. Hopefully it helps. And a big thanks to GOG!

For whatever reason, having a second monitor attached fixed it and I can play the game now.
I just used a HDMI lead to use my TV as a display, so at least it's an easy fix.
Well crap, if I have to get an extra monitor or mess with that virtual screen then no sale. I should not have to do something like that. I did love the game back in the day but not enough for all this trouble.
It does work. Hazar! such an awesome game, so many memories. A little faffing about is well worth it just for the nostalgia.

Yeah, this totally did work, although it then took about half an hour to work out how the heck I disabled the fake monitor!
Is there really no way to play it without another monitor?
