^If that's true, then it will probably come sooner on GOG. Only 6 hours (and change) left. FWIW the preorder also appeared on GOG earlier than Steam.

the issue with steam is, they are on west coast in the US. i think/hope its the release date that counts. since gog has the rights to release it, and they are sitting in europe, im assuming it'll come out earlier on gog.
