I'm thinking of buying F.E.A.R. Platinum on GOG and I know it's an old game and all but will it run on Win 10 with little to no tinkering right out of the box? I tried many configs of my copy of F.E.A.R. 1 on Steam only for it constantly freeze up within a minute or 2 of playing. Can I get a refund if I get FEAR Platinum on GOG and the same thing happens? I consider myself PC savvy but I'm tired of jumping through all the hoops to get an old game running.

You'll probably need to manually install the community made patch that takes care of slow down issues on Windows versions later than XP.

I'm only right at the beginning, but I got it working by setting it to compatibility for XP SP 3. Before that, it refused to work properly on 10. It now works on 11, as well.
