Can someone confirm that EAX works on X-FI card with Alchemy drivers on Win7 - 64 bit with this version?

For example - I always got BSOD when running steam version added to Alchemy, while some other games work without problem.

Works fine in Windows 8.1 :)

I have similar problems with the Steam Version but this one works fine. ALchemy didn't recognize the game but when i entered the path it works.

ALchemy is Version 1.43.06 on Windows 8.1 with an Titanium HD.
I agree with Blutwurst.

If you enter the path to fears exe in alchemy, the EAX options in fears splashscreen become enabled (this on W7 64)

I have only just set this up, yet to play it but will this evening.

I will post back if all runs smoothly.

***EDIT

I have run the game now for about 30 mins, whilst I have had problems with BSOD before with alchemy, I have ran into no such issues so far, I suspect you are good to go.

I can't guarantee you will be free of problems of course, but all seems fine on W7 64 so far.

The only thing I had to do to hit the sweet spot was use other software to drop down the mouse sensitivity, which seemed far to high for my liking, but I often find that with these older games.

Hi guys,

I've just one question: Do I have to install on my PC both Creative Alchemy driver AND the application ?

Found a download link here:

Everyone thanks for your info. I will have to buy GOG version to confirm it will work. Wishlisted for now.

It is working :)

Tested with a Sound Blaster Z as well as Sound Blaster X-Fi MB3.

Biggest "obstacle" is using ALchemy.
I had to add the game manually, as the Alchemy software did not recognize the game by itself. But now it works fine.
