Hello,

is it just me but is this game buggy and nearly unplayable on a normal 19" 5:4 monitor?

So first for the buggy part:
- how to leave the bed? I basically get stuck tehre every time and no button is working
escape only brings me to the menu screen and breaks the black bars around the screen

For the montior problems:
- all dreamlogs are so small that I cannot read them on my monitor
- clicking on them does nothing so I guess I cannot zoom in
- same problem for other UI elements (carriage 1 for example) which is to close to the border of the screen
I had similar issues with this game in a Windows 7 environment. Black bars except in really low resolutions, difficulty with small fonts, and an inability to navigate around. It got to the point where I couldn't continue playing because it was impossible to view the map: All I could see was the upper left-hand side of it.

On a different computer, I discovered that right-clicking and moving around actually changes your viewpoint. This fixed the issue with viewing carriage 1, and finally let me view the entire map! Note, however, that the font for the dream logs is still pretty difficult to read.

I can't speak to exactly what you're experiencing, but it sounds like you're having the same issues I was. You could try the up arrow key or left-clicking to get out of the bed. However, I would imagine it would be virtually impossible for you to complete the game if you can't see the entire map.

Note: I purchased this on the launch day and finished it before the latest patch came out. Maybe this fixed some stuff? Make sure you have the latest version. Sadly, this was one of the only purchases I regret. Nothing against the developers: This simply fell short of my expectations and became quite tedious. Hopefully you'll have a better experience! Good luck!

The latest patch improved the size of the dream log font a fair bit. One of them tends to be cut off on one side, but you can always leave the dream log and then go back into it since the dream transcripts rearrange each time you do that.

My issue has been that there are these annoying times where the game feels like it "hangs" - the cursor is unresponsive, everything freezes, etc. Most of the time simply waiting a while (which feels like ages) tends to fix it. I have no idea why this happens - it's pretty damn annoying.

I find that reducing the resolution appears to actually lead to a massive performance improvement. I can play most games at 1980x1050, but this game I need to shunt down all the way to 1366x768 for it to run well. It still looks pretty good at lower resolutions though - just choose one with the proper aspect ratio so you don't get the black bars. This is also Windows 10 BTW.
After a much too long delay I finally tried this game. First attempt had some technical bugs right in the beginning (could not move to the tran controls except by always re-assigning F1 as the shortcut and then being able to use it once); no light in the train controls, no interaction with the radio dial... These were all fixed by starting a new game.

The second attempt had a bug that actually keeps me from playing:
At the first city I entered, I did sent my initial batch of survivors out on two missions. Nobody died, abd the second mission
actually saved someone. However, the newcomer was listed as "claimed by nobody", and of the 6 people who returned to the train only 4 were actually onboard. A second carriage was activated but empty.

So my successful mussion actually set me back 20% of my initial workforce :-/
