I was on the fence for a couple of days, whether to get this game or wait for a sale. But I'm happy to have purchased it as it delivers a really deep and satisfying tactical experience. Also let me commend the job de "primetide_dev" on the Steam forums. His dedication to answering the community's questions has convinced me that the game is in good hand and that the developers are really dedicated at making this the best they can.

Since everyone say the game is fairly hard, I started the main campaign at Easy and haven't found anything particularly tough yet. I haven't felt much the difficulty spike of the third scenario (Under Attack IIRC) as my mercenary beserker literally took 2/3 of the enemy's leader health in one strike (charge + anti-hero bonus is devastating in that situation). I killed the guy in one round with the support of my other units.
*SPOILER* The guy never had the time to drink his health potion and I received it as an artifact. *SPOILER*

For those still on the fence, like I was, I say try it. It think the game is quite fairly priced for the standard edition. I don't understand those that say this is overpriced. We do get two fully realized factions, 33 scenarios, skirmish battles and multiplayer. If you think the game should be cheaper, then you don't know what's involved in making a video game with that much content.

Thanks so much for the kind words. We try to be here on GoG as well occasionally ;)
