I just read the article regarding the GOG sale for Fallout games + Interplay losing rights to these games over to Bethesda (I know, I'm almost a week late). But the article specifically states that Fallout games will no longer be sold after this month on the GOG website. If that's true, then will Mac users be S.O.L from buying these games? The Steam site sells all three Fallout games by Interplay, however they don't seem to have a compatible Mac version for ANY of those titles (get with the times, Steam).

So is that it then? Unless Bethesda continues to allow sales of Fallout games on GOG, then this may be the last chance for Mac owners to play Fallout games... Forever!!!

Good thing I'm picking up FO2 and Tactics before this sale ends, but to other Mac users out there, you have been WARNED.

Here is the article I found in regards to the issue.

It'll be entirely up to Bethesda from that point on. Nothing is stopping them from making mac compatible version available on steam after the right fall to them. I wouldn't hold my breath thought.

Unfortunately GOG also disabled the gift codes for the fallout games due to abuse so there won't be many giveways either.

Yeah, this is rather troubling news. I always liked how GOG considered gamers on all platforms, not just PC, compared to Steam where the majority of their games are only available on PC format (such as with the old Fallouts). Knowing Bethsoft I wouldn't be surprised if they just keep it the way as it is on Steam, remove it from GOG completely, then possibly add Mac support further down the road on Steam. It just sucks because Fallout was the game that really got me involved with the community here at GOG, and I haven't been here for a full year and now I have to watch it all go away after this month :-(

People on GOG (specifically those with Macs) who have been debating whether to get these games... I urge you to do so now! I'm not really what you'd call a cRPG "enthusiast". But I've always loved the Fallout series and Fallout 1 and 2 are honestly the best games in the series. I replayed Fallout 1 a gazillion times (more than any RPG game I've played) and I expect to do at least a couple run throughs of Fallout 2 as well. Also, I'm really looking forward to seeing what Tactics is all about after finishing FO2. EVERYONE MUST PLAY AND EXPERIENCE THESE AMAZING GAMES BEFORE IT IS TOO LATE.

That is all. Chicken Little out.
