mimsi: Here is my character setup incase you or anyone is curious.
Looks just fine to me. The problem is that you can spend a lot of time analyzing and over-analyzing your character creation options trying to get The Perfect Build when it really doesn't matter all that much. There are enough skill point available in the game that, long before the end, you'll be able to patch over whatever deficiencies you have and finish the story without too much trouble. So if you like your character, stick with it and don't worry about the stats.

Finesse is a good pick. The only real criticism of that one is that Sniper eventually makes it obsolete because every hit becomes a critical on a successful LK roll. You can't get Sniper for a long time though, so Finesse is still a solid choice. If it bugs you after you get Sniper, you can pick Mutate! and swap it for a different perk.

One of the reasons Gifted is so powerful is that you can still rearrange your stats after you select it, so instead of every ability going up by one, you can take the extra points from ST and EN and put them in IN or AG.

You're always able to have one companion, no matter how low your CH.

Bonus Rate of Fire is going to be a high-priority perk for you (as it is for any ranged character). Bonus Move and Action Boy are always good choices. Better Criticals is also going to be a good choice, as is Bonus Ranged Damage. One that may not be obvious is Living Anatomy, which looks like a medical perk but it also gives you a significant boost to ranged damage. More Cricitals is a good perk but it's in the same boat as Finesse in that it becomes redundant once you get Sniper.

In general it's a good idea to avoid perks that only give skill point bonuses, since skill points are easy to come by.

Finally I must mention, just in case you didn't know, that if you make a really dumb character with 1 or 2 IN, you get completely new and hilariously funny dialogue for the whole game.
