I've done the search and found the Vista solution, so does anyone know where the hell Windows 7 hides the savegame folder for Fallout 1 & 2? I've searched for WORLDMAP.DAT, and critters and everything I can think to search for.

Interesting note: I went to gog/fallout/data and the SAVEGAME folder is there but none of the savegames are......

Update: nevermind I tracked it down. Apparently Microsoft felt it needed to save me from myself so the AppData folder was hidden. They try my patience.....

I could be wrong, but I think that the savegames only get redirected when you have installed the game to the Program Files folder or you are not running the game as administrator. Choosing a different install path next time may result in your savegames being in the savegame folder where you'd expect.
Message above seems correct. Windows doesn't like normal users and their programs to mess with program files folder. It's probably messed enough out of the box. :-)
