Mrs. Bishop told my character (Freya) about the lingual enhancer in her safe, and in doing so told Freya the combination for her safe. There are two safes, and I've tried smacking each of them around to no avail. What's a player to do? The game doesn't seem to note that the combination has been granted!
Oh yes, and this character's a long ways off from serious lockpicking or trap-disarming skills. Just not the right emphasis.

Leave Mr. Bishops safe alone if you have no disarm trap ability. As for the other safe have you tried asking her to open it after having sex with her?

Actually IIRC there are three safes on the second floor, one is Mr Bishop's, one is his wife's and the third is his daughter's.

You can get both of the latter by asking the women to open them (after having sex with them). For Mr Bishop, you need high lockpicking and traps (or high HP). If you have a high trap skill you can actually rig Bishop's safe to explode, at his wife's request.

I'm not sure, but I think MackieStingray's character is female (judging by the name "Freya"). Are the Bishop females bisexual? I've never played a female character, so I don't know.

Yea you need to sleep with Mrs. Bishop for her to mutter the combination code.

To clarify... yes, Mrs. Bishop will sleep with female characters. I do not know about Bishop's daughter.

I'd missed the third safe.
Also, it turns out you still use the Lockpicking skill even if you know the combination; it just provides an automatic success is all, as your character repeats the combination.

Finally, there was one other problem I should mention. That lingual enhancer dialogue option becomes unavailable once you have the Geck and your village is burned down, or something akin. Good to know...

Given the same stats it took to entice Mrs. Bishop, by the way, the daughter doesn't care about my female character. I assume the daughter is straight.
