I am ze Übermench
I already had a collection disc with all three games but it is still an amazing way to kick off the winter sale. Thanks GOG for giving me a superior digital backup for the day my DVD-ROM will inevitably be lost!
I have the same feels from when they released the first one for free last April, but now it's multiplied by 3 :D
Indeed. So good to be a part of the gog experience, their consumer/community dedication is unmatched!

To each their own, I guess, and while "other digital stores" have annoying communities and "achievements" and "trading cards" and gog doesn't, the simple fact I got The Witcher, Torchlight and now the good old Fallout games for free says a whole lot more to me than all the perks that "other distributor" offers. All, of course, completely DRM-free with no client/launcher whatsoever to keep tabs on the games I own -- or, should I say, the games I rent a service to play, unlike what happens via gog, who actually sells us the games themselves.

So, yeah, go gog! And thanks for all the goodies and customer love!

Yeah, exactly the same with me. I have been enjoying those games since they were still released on CD-ROMs. Already my F1 disc stopped working. Besides digital copy is way more convinient. Thanks GOG!!!
I had considered buyuing fallout 1/2 but there're so many other games on GoG. Personally, I think they should still be charging at least $2 for these games, why not? $2 is nothing and yet something. Making em free seems... wrong.

If they make these free they might as well make all the others free too.

Fallout 1/2 aren't just about the outdated graphics, they're about the gameplay.. Somehow I get the feeling somebody said "The graphics and gameplay in Fallout 1/2 sucks balls, so why don't we just make em free?"

It leaves a bad taste in my mouth for some reason, like somebody is saying these games suck. I know all too well how wrong it can be when somebody else speaks for me by dictating a game sucks. I am the one that determines whether a game sucks.

Maybe I am fretting over nothing. I just have too much respect for these games to see them be free while games I consider to be much worse are being sold for over $20 and crowds of people slobbering at the mouth to play them.

Sounds like people may not be able to buy the games off of GOG after Saturday. In which case, don't you think the maximum number of people should get these games on their shelf while they still can?

as for graphics.. fallout is pre-rendered --> until today it haz A amazing graphics imo

as for free well, those who respected the game and its quality already had it on original cd/dvd so a up-to-date digital edition that works on todays PCs is something everyone can value

fallout is A legend
Fallout's graphics may be a little dated, but they have lasting style. It still looks great after all these years.
thanks to gog i know i own every game in the fallout series
except for the one on the ps2 cause it doesnt exist
It is indeed awesome. I've wanted to try the games for years and now is the perfect chance. I'm really glad I decided to check my email and realize this deal was going on!
As far as I know Interplay is losing the rights to Fallout and that is why it's being given away for free. Sort of a last "Here you go guys, you'll never see it for sale again." I don't see how that is disrespectful. Actually as a testament to how great the three games are GOG had to make a statement saying the servers were getting backed up from how many people were downloading the game. GOG has some good servers so you can well imagine how many people bit on that offer, just goes to show you how great the games really are.
I think I got these game like 2 months ago during a weekend sale. Even though they're being given away free now, I don't feel bad about having paid for them. They are all quality games and GOG deserves support for their work so having forked over a few bucks for them is no big deal. It's still money well spent.
