Hello,

I'm having trouble getting NVSE working while still using GOG Galaxy to open and run the game. I've tried closing Galaxy, then editing the .info file by replacing the default FalloutNVLauncher.exe with nvse_loader.exe, but after doing so, pressing the play button does not start the game via NVSE. Eventually, after a period of time, the .info file reverts back to using the default launcher. I have checked that NVSE is intalled correctly, as when I start the game without using Galaxy, through NVSE, it worked completely fine. But I would like to play with the overlay, to get the acheivements and record my hours, as well as use certain mods.

Any ideas on what to do?

I did what I do for steam versions of bethesda games, rename the launcher programme, in this case FalloutNVLauncher.exe to FalloutNVLauncher.exe.orig and then make a copy of nvse_loader.exe and rename it to FalloutNVLauncher.exe. Without any editing of the info files this launches the nvse oader when i click on the green play button in galaxy.

Are you sure you edited the .info file correctly? It works for me. The relevant section should read (exactly, but ignore forum formatting):

"playTasks": [
{
"category": "launcher",
"isPrimary": true,
"languages": [
"*"
],
"name": "Fallout: New Vegas",
"path": "nvse_loader.exe",
"runAsAdmin": false,
"type": "FileTask"
},

Thanks, this process worked. I'll keep this in mind if something like this comes up again.

I made exe swap but i got the reply from GoG " Please update to the latest version if Fallout".
What can be the problem?
EDIT. It works.
