It seems that you're using an outdated browser. Some things may not work as they should (or don't work at all).

You can also tag sneak and raise it to ~125%, that way, enclave patrols, deathclaws etc. are harmless.

@OP, I suspect you tried to steal something from an NPC and got caught subsequently, which made the whole town go hostile. Either that or some friendlyfire monkey business.

Also, combat armor protects from the toxic goo too. You'll be able to buy a suit of combat armor in NCR IIRC.

Edit: Another possible explanation for why the town is hostile is that you looted the Dunton House. Duntons will attack you if they see you looting the bookcase in the house or if they see you lockpicking the locked room.

this really isn't a problem anymore now, but still if I did steal or loot the wrong desk I should have gotten an immidiate response from them.

anyways, I got into a different problem but I think it would be more usefull to have a seperate thread for it.

Sarafan: Games are supposed to bring joy and if it means overriding some gameplay mechanics, then why not? :) But it still doesn't mean that someone shouldn't give a warning about possible gameplay consequences of certain behavior in the game world.
Good day.

Feel free to be that person, then, because I don't remember having that job.
Feel free to discuss with me by PM, too, in case you have advices to give, before you take this to "off-topic territory". :33
I didn't hear/read any complaints, from OP, about the information I've posted.

zen3001: I've been looting items in all buildings, is that supposed to be a punishment?
Most likely you've looted something that was observed. Next time don't loot containers in houses where citizens can see you.
If so why don't they directly attack me when I steal, like they did in the first game?
They should, or at least they did in my experience...
