So I'm level 10, working on getting that car from Smitty. I need money, but I'm having trouble making it. I am packed to the gills with guns to sell, but the vendors never seem to have more than a few bucks. Is there some way to sell this stuff off?

I think if you wait a few days the stores restock with cash. Also, a big help to me was when I realized after you pay Smitty for the car, you can barter your guns to him to get your couple thousand moniez back. Obviously doesn't help you now, but as soon as you buy the car if you still have loads of guns you can get the cash back.

And of course you could just go to San Francisco, but if you're trying to play in some kind of "order" that wouldn't really work.

Money is like a resource that you have to build up from day one. It is very rare. San Fran should have plenty. NCR, New Reno Arms and the amenities shop in Vault City are also places to look - not guaranteed.
