I've applied the high res patch, renamed direct draw, applied timeslip's patch, but when I run it the colors are sorta janky. When I try changing it to 16 bit the screen is now black. Is there a way to switch to 16 bit with the right colors and run without the lag?

Res is 1366*768, by the way.

Thanks.
I renamed the file, everything works fluently now, but most of the time screen is black. Graphics appear around cursor, to disappear again in a moment. Occasionally the whole screen blinks - appears and disappears. For me game is unplayable.

I'm having the same problems on the same resolution. Has anyone got a solution?
I tried renaming ddraw.dll, now it just pops up with a black screen, sits for a bit, then says it couldn't run it in 640x280 screen mode??
