So, this evening I sto- borrowed my father's Asus EEE 1005 with Windows XP and installed Fallout 1 on it (I don't own 2 or Tactics... yet.) I pleased to see that it worked.
However, does it run on all the models? Or on the Linux versions (If so, how? I believe he's converting the tiny thing later this week)?

Fallout 1 et 2 runs great on my eeepc701 under XPsp3.
But you must use a small program call D3DWindower to starts games in 640*480 windowed mode.
Fallout2 takes 15/20s to starts but he works great after the first loading.

Playing Fallout 2 on my Dell Mini 9! Works great! I can even alt+tab out and answer emails while F2 is running.

F2 works great on my PC.

My 900 EE PC -it's the better of the 900 series, the one with the non-soddered RAM- runs it fine.

The linux versions you might have trouble with, since it's a windows binary and all. You could try installing it under wine (windows binary compatibility layer, in essence), but that might not work, or at least not how you want it to.

I just installed Fallout on my Eee 1005 hab under Windows 7. Seems to run fine thought It may be a little slow. I have to sit down and test things.

Fallout 1 and 2 run very nicely in Wine. I've played them both without any issues. Good Linux netbook games.
