Hi guys,

From reading around, I get the impression that the best version of Legendary Heroes to install is 2.2, for compatibility with XtraDeconstruct (and perhaps other mods), not to mention avoiding the bugs more recent version introduced, such as AI not being able to use tactical summons.

So my question is, does GOG still provide the possibility of installing these older versions? I own the game on Steam but Stardock didn't have the wisdom of Steam's Beta feature to let you roll back like other developers more respectful of the players and modding community do.

And also, which version is considered the most stable so far, especially regarding the AI being broken?

Thanks!

Its not possible per offline installers but it may be possible per Galaxy. At least for some games some older versions can be retrieved per Galaxy. Somebody with FELH and Galaxy would have to answer that.

I have played 2.4 mostly I think, dont know if its the most stable though, 2.5.1 may be somewhat more stable than 2.4 if you play on maps/settings which trigger end-turn hangs.

About "the AI being broken":
I have played the latest (2.5.1) version somewhat and didnt notice the AI in general being more broken than it was before. This doesnt proof that its not more broken though.
AI control most of the time not being able to do tactical summons appears to be a particular bug. It affects player vs monsters battles more than palyer vs AI opponents. It has far as I know no effect on battles which are not resolved tactically by the human player.
Thanks for the details. Too bad we don't have access to older offline installers, it would be nice of GOG to offer those - the latest version isn't always the greatest.

If someone with FELH and Galaxy would like to chime in, it would be appreciated.
Resurrecting this question, as apparently 3.0 came out on Galaxy (and isn't listed on the store page, somehow). Does Galaxy let you pick which version you want to install including 2.2? I'm pretty much waiting on this info to purchase, since I already own the game on Steam but it has both extra DRM (Stardock account) and doesn't let you roll back.
