I've tried it several times. Evil Genius won't start on latest Macbook, with latest OS and even after the installing latest Wineskin update. The icon bounces twice in the dock, then stays there. By clicking on it, the top bar says "Evil Genius". I can see a menu when cliking on it: "forceful quit", "eject disk", "Wineskin website" but the game itself never loads.

I have the exact same problem.

yep mid-15 pro 15 inch here and same deal, latest os
It's been awhile, please fix this, I know it's not the hottest money maker on the market but please, don't be an evil genius, get the game working! ;)
Same problem for me
They're not going to fix it, I'm looking for a refund.
I've made it run on my 2017 MacBook Pro, on Mojave 10.14.5 right now.
Here's what I did:

First, I updated Winery to the latest engine and wrapper. Then I updated both in the game config window. Then, in Screen Settings, I turned off all the 4 checkboxes to the right, and turned resolution and other settings to automatic.

Once starting the game, a dialog box informs me about having to install something called Mono. After this install is complete, I get a warning about having to use a generic renderer that will be slow. After this, the game started up fine, and there's no slowness to be found.

Hope this works for you folks as well!

mac os no longer supports 32 bit executables so, unless the publisher adds a 64 bit one, the game will never work on mac os. if you have an intel based mac however, you can install windows on it, though it is not free.
