I've seen an awful lot of bugs reported for Evil Genius, both here and on other websites. Graphical corruption, stuck objects, crashes to desktop, research crashes, lost textures, ...
Is the GOG.com version full of bugs like this? Were the bugs never sorted out properly in official patches?
I'd like to play this game at some point but the prospect of it being full of bugs and ruining the gaming experience, or even worse leaving the game unplayable if I cannot proceed further (notice no solution to http://www.gog.com/en/forum/evil_genius/graphic_error), leaves me unsure of whether to buy.
How are others' experiences of this game?
The only issue I've had so far has to do with the research bug.
And you don't have the problem if you turn off the AutoSave feature.
(which is unfortunate b/c I like that feature)
The game is awesome though and well worth the $10.
I'm currently having a bit of trouble with it just randomly crashing to desktop. I haven't quite figured out why yet but I haven't really looked into it. I'm running it on a single core system with windows xp.

See, I have a dual core system and Vista 64, so might have even more issues to work through, such as setting core affinity to one.
I've played through the GOG version twice since release with no issues whatsoever. Did not use unofficial patch. Just installed and played.
I'm playing in Vista 32-bit version. If you have tried the demo out and are entertained, the full game is much more fun to be discovered.
