Hello,how to do it?
Thanks
Hi, they answered in the steam.

"The GOG VR version currently has to be configured manually, sorry about that! We have asked the GOG support to provide a shortcut in the installation folder, which should be included in a following update. Meanwhile, this is how you can start VR mode with the GOG installation:
- Go to the installation folder of the game, then into RSG/Binaries/Win64
- Right-click on RSG-Win64-Shipping.exe and create a shortcut of it
- Right-click on the shortcut and select Properties
- In the Destination input field, after the path to the .exe, add a blank space and -vr, then confirm
The shortcut should start the game in VR mode then!"
Ok thanks a lot for the info. Will try it!
its doesn t work

You'll have to keep the VR headset on your head in order to see a picture - if that doesnt help, try resetting the screen with F8. You might also try to lower some graphics settings in non-VR mode and then launch the game again, please tell me if that doesn't help!

I have tried to put -vr in the shortcut after .exe, and with my Rift I still just get a black screen in the HMD...

Strange...

Also pressing F8 does nothing...

Does the non-VR mode work fine? Try lowering the graphics settings there and see if that helps.
Same here,

Sound always goes to the headset and i can't seem to get VR working on my oculus. "only sound"

The only way i can remove the sound on the headset is to;
1) Disconnect the cables
2) Shutting down the oculus app completely from the task manager.

This way i can play the game normally, but it should not be this way.

-vr and -novr don't seem to do anything for me.

Any other solution to start the game normally and in VR ?

Specs:
OS: Win 10 PRO 64bit
RAM: 32 GB DDR4
CPU: 6700K
GPU: GTX1070 extreme

Hello! A few questions:
- Do you have the release version of Oculus, or DK1/2?
- What version of the game are you playing on? (The version is displayed in the bottom left of the main menu)
- You definitely created a shortcut of the the 64-bit exe?

Hello,
- I got the newest version of the rift DK2
- At the bottom left is displayed v1.1.3.33662
- Yes i did "..GOG Galaxy\Games\Everspace\RSG\Binaries\Win64\RSG-Win64-Shipping.exe"
I tryed -nohmd, -novr and -vr none of these change things.
I did read somewhere it had something to do with the unreal engine

Atm I use a workaround as i can't get it in vr.
Workaround: Open services and disable/Enable "Oculus VR Runtime Service" to get the sound on the speakers, as it will not be able to find my rift software.

but i really would like to see how this game is in vr and working normally with the sound

It's strange that you can't get the game to run with DK2 - even though we don't officially support DK2, other users could start it up just fine. How does the game not run in VR exactly? Are you not getting an image on your headset?

About the audio issue: This is actually related to a bug in the current Unreal Engine version. They have promised to fix this with a future update, but for now there is nothing we can do on our end. On the player's side, it is usually resolved by setting the audio out to "use system default" in the Oculus device settings, but the Oculus software will still startup nevertheless, because it detects a game that "theoretically supports VR". We hope that they'll fix this soon!

atm, I just boot up the game from the gog launcher again, as there is no difference with the special links.
You are correct i get no image in the headset,
Pressing O or F8 does not change a thing, no matter how i launch the game.

Also audio is set to default. i had no reason to force it and is more of a hassel to change then disabling the oculus service which also stops it from launching.

If there is anything you would link me to try let me know.

thx for your time

Edit:

I was like what the hell lets give it a go and used the -vr link.
Now the damn thing did work.
I'll do some testing later this week, to see if the order of things might change the result.
