Played this game on my old computer (Ether One) and had no issue. Had a new desktop built and trying to play EO Redux. Everytime I try to enter the house with the Morris Dancers I freeze. The voice over continues but I can't move and have to CTL ALT DEL out of the game.

I've tried to change various video settings, frame rate, Vsync, etc but I consistently lock up. I've run as Admin. Doesn't change the situation.,

Any suggestions. Running on WIN 10. 32 MG RAM, NVIDIA 1060.

I really want to replay this game but can't progress due to the freeze. Thx.

Hey, I have the same issue.

You gave me an idea, I tried using my controller instead of mouse and keyboard, it gave me a fatal crash error.
I asked support. They don't have a clue, told me to contact the devs. They never got back either.

Basically you have to install the non-Redux version (it's under "extras" and is installed in the same general folder I believe), which is at least stable. In fact I don't think I had any issues with it at all. The graphics... I couldn't really even tell them apart, except the water is a bit different. The features are mostly the same, you're not missing anything (except if you want French, German, Spanish, Italian or Polish subtitles).

The earlier patch versions of Redux also have the same problem[s]. You will not be able to finish the game like that. I don't know if even the Steam version works as it should based on this discussion: https://steamcommunity.com/app/391920/discussions/0/208684375415827216/?l=spanish

EDIT: Apparently it does work on one of the earlier patch versions for some people.

From an official source, the differences between the versions: "We tried to keep both versions of the game very similar. If you see from the before and after screenshots, there are slight visual improvements but we tried to keep the feeling and tone of the game exactly the same and everyone we have spoken to so far has enjoyed it. The gameplay and narrative should be exactly the same minus a few small changes we needed to make but please do let us know what you think!"

Support contacted me a while back, I did a roll back to a previous version and now everything is fine, haven't played it yet so I don't know if it stays that way but the specific problem is solved, when I have some time I will play again.

Thank you anyway

EDIT: just re-read your comment, I hope you are wrong and that its possible to finish the game like this.

I was having this same problem until I read your post. I did the roll back to 52335698 and the game no longer freezes in the house with the Morris Dancers. I lost my saved game, but it was easy to do again. Thanks for posting this! It saved me a lot of time and frustration.
