I have a question for anyone who has played the Eschalon series - how much of replayability is there with these games?

I've only beaten the first one, and I would say it's the kind that depends on you. There isn't any replayability in the sense that you could do the game again and things would be different, but you could theoretically play again as another class. In each game you will be able to solve all of the quests and see everything, so no need to play twice to access content.

My game, accomplishing MOST everything, took 16 hours (of which 2 were spent trying to figure out how to progress when it was really a bug). I recommend the game if you can get it cheap/on sale.

Eschalon 1 is now free and I can also recommend the game, it is well worth a play through.

I'd say 0 replayability. The games are enough of a living slog as is, why would you want to subject yourself to an artificially stretched game like that?

I played all 3 Eschalon multiple times now and can tell you the game has a high replayability:

- you can solve quests in numerous ways
- you play different character classes which leads to completely different combat tactics like in book 2 you and even play as a full Alchemist without relying on weapons or spells at, you can also play as full thief an none of the enemies will ever see you coming or you can play as full pries, mage, melee fighter or ranger.
- many things are hidden for a first playthrough and you discover it only if you play the game again
- since its a open world rpg you can do things like you want which also leads to a high replayability
- every of the games has different endings
- you can also just kill everyone and still be able to finish all the games.

People who say the game has little or no replayability dont no the Eschalon series at all.
