Hi there,

everytime i start the game with DirectX, i have normal and smooth gamespeed - but unsharp texts on my screen.
If i switch to OpenGL, the game runs too fast! at least i can read the texts... :(

What should i do?

Is there btw any possibility to play this game on fullscreen instead of a centered 800x600 screen ?

Do you have an Nvidia or AMD/ATI graphics card? I can't help directly if you have the latter.

Anyway, you have to go into your control panel for your GPU regardless and then find something called scaling. I've Nvidia and the choices are Aspect Ratio (stretches but keeps AR intact), full-screen (no AR intact) and no scaling (usually a centered window if the game's resolution is lower than that of the desktop).
There's a thread about the problem and ATI cards on the original Basilisk board "www . basiliskgames . com / forums / viewtopic.php?t=492&highlight=text ".

I have an intel hd graphics. The option to make the blurred text disappear was under 3d and I had to set texture quality to high.
thanks!

from basiliskgame forum

"Hi everyone. I had the same problem, and I think I know a solution.
I use ATI Tray tools, and under the Open GL settings I can adjust the MipMap detail and Texture Preference.
When these settings are on "High Performance" I get the same fuzzy text. On high quality everything is perfect.
So if you have a program that controls you VGA, try to max out the MipMap and Texture settings for best quality.
Maybe you can adjust MipMap settings in your vga control panel."

it worked :)
