When i played i found out accidantly that the items in chests are sometimes random. So if i may give a hint save before you open a chest and keep on opening reloading till you get loot what you want.

The first time you find a vendor in the game, everything that they sell is random. What this means is that you can get skill books from the end of the game in the first town. They restock every week so try back then for more randomness. I spent hours just seeing what I could find in a blacksmith's building.

Hahaha i gave that warning because its human nature to make it easy as possible even with games what you dont know you dont use :) I had my first plate that way buy keeping looking at chest and reload and even found a sword skill book that raised my sword skill by 2.
