Despite being advertised as a 2010 'Gold Edition' on DotEmu, it appears the only difference might be a TopWare logo when you start the game. The datestamps on the games files are the same as the first CD-ROM release.

[Edit] It looks as though a Gold Edition was released in stores which came packaged with a copy of Jagged Alliance 2, but this is not included in the DotEmu version. I also see that they've released a 2012 Edition, but I'm betting there's no difference once again. I'll email TopWare and see if they have any further information available.

Did you ever get a response? I see Steam added a version oct 2013. Which version is on gog? Does it include shadows of twilight (2012)? It was supposedly cancelled on Wii but made it to PC as there is gameplay vids on youtube which look pretty good in 1080p.

Never received a reply from TopWare on the subject, but I can confirm that between most versions (original disc release, GoG, Steam, DotEmu) there's no difference to the games content.

Shadows of Twilight did eventually make it to release on the Wii overseas, but it was a pretty broken port. Not sure about the one linked to on Amazon, but with the history, I'd probably guess it's unchanged.
