I prefer GOG, but I agree: Annoyingly, the availability of new patches on GOG is not so great. I'm sure they could improve it. My guess is it's a cost factor they're not willing to go.
Plus it's Sunday, nothing will happen today that is for sure. Combat trainning mission bug is a let down but there is plenty of other things to do. You can re-roll new characters for different gameplay and choices. I havent left the tutorial base yet and i see that it is skipable at the start of the game.

The biggest bother is that we're supposed to be testing this stuff. Picking to get the game on GOG right now directly hinders our testing. Because now were testing on an older version, so devs will see what happens with us. Have to check the new steam version to see if its really an issue then go from there.

Really we could just be reporting non-issues this whole time we're waiting for updates.

Might have to look into getting the steam version and having them take away my gog version. Just so I can be testing a valid version of the game.
For anyone who's watching: it looks like the patch is available. I don't see it in my games library, but when I ran GOG Galaxy, it patched my game to 0.14.928.0022.

I had to roll back to a save that I made before starting the first Alpha training, but this time when I completed Alpha it was correctly flagged as such, and allowed me to do the next team.

Anyone who managed to complete it without rolling back? I already cleaned up the save logs after completing all the side quests... Smart move...

Appears it cannot be solved if you've started this before the patch. I have the same issue and even if I had a save, it'd mean to lose too much progress. However the devs have promised (in their discord server) to publish another hotfix in a week and it'll contain the fix allowing you to complete "Training Day".
Yeah back when i found this issue I reverted back to a save where I didnt start Alpha at all. I then went to all the other floors and did a bunch of stuff.

Going back to that floor I tried alpha after we finally got the patch, still broken.

EDIT: Just got this on discord.

Starting a new character works though.

Yeah, not good. And we all have been waiting for the fix. Let's hope the next one (coming in a week) will fix it. Meanwhile it's worth testing another character with different stats. People on discord reporting melee to be overpowered at the moment (like 1 punch = 3 gunshots), would be fun to see it in action before it's fixed.
