I got my gear and went to the training area. After looting around a bit I put on the mech suit deal and started Alpha training. 3 holo guys show up, kill them and the battle musics over and it seems the fights done.

I go up stairs to start bravo training and it just says to do alpha again. I click alpha and it spawns me where i was before and there are no enemies except the dead ones.

Anybody else getting this?

Encountered something similar. went to the quest location, fought alpha. nothing happened, can't fight bravo since it's 'locked'.

Went on to do other quests and explore, came back, same thing. I can choose alpha, but they are already dead and bravo isn't unlocked. also, it's strange that holographic targets leave bodies and loot behind :-)
Same
Known issue according to dev. It's fixed in one of the newer patches and should be in the next one today. GOG's a bit behind as usual.
That one got me as well. Looting the "dead" holographs, thinking to myslef, whoah my scientist can shoot. Went up to get the Bravo squad sim and the game told me that I'd have to do the alpha one first. That one ports me back down in the middle of the downed red holos.

Hopefully Marius is right and I can continue. Has been a blast so far

GOG can't get updates as fast as steam? This was one of my first games I picked to get on GOG to start moving over. But if I will get late updates then maybe I should just stick on Steam.

Typically all developers send out their patches to the distributors on the same day. So steam/GOG tend to get the patches within the same 24 hour period. GOG however, has people manually deploying the patches, whereas steam has it automated after authentication goes through. So it's not unusual for patches on GOG to arrive hours later. It's one of the few advantages steam has.
Well GOG might be slower then steam but atleast I don't have to log in constantly to play the game and that itself make it worth it just to keep the GOG version.

I can wait since there are side quest to do while this quest get fix

Had the same issue. That's good to know the patch is on its way. Thanks!
The developer (Dark Crystal Games) has an official Discord server where they're fairly active. It's where I had it confirmed that these bugs (the holograms having corpses is a bug too) will be fixed. It's worth a look if you use Discord.

Yeah there's plenty of reasons to use GOG over steam. I'll never understand the people who celebrate having to use DRM to start and install their games.
I just attempted to do the hit each target, I managed to hit each target once and then they all just dropped dead.
I didn't even do enough damage to kill them out right on purpose and the next simulation is still locked.
If this is a bug it is a stupid one, and I would like to know as been looking on the steam forums if they don't have it why do we on GOG? Both PC based systems, both the same code, so why one service have this bug that in my mind is game breaking as I can't really continue with the game as I would fail the quest if I did having only a 24 hour window to do the first day training missions. While the other one appears not to have, as I said I can't find any mention of this bug on the other site. Bah that the game seems like it is going to be fun, even at this stage.

PLus the first update made my old saves invalid. Sooooo yeah. Had the bug then too and every single play through since no matter which colour I choose to play as. (Not done Orange yet though)

Steam has the patch. Gog has the patch, too, but it hasn't been validated yet.

But there are some very good reasons to use Steam over GOG...
Most of all, on Steam there is no shitty "Curating" like here on GOG.
The Patches are way faster available.
There is the Workshop for mods.
And the centralised multiplayer system (if you are into that - i am not).

The DRM does not have to be used by the developers. There are plenty of games that run completely independent of the Steam client. You just have to enable that checkbox as a developer.
So yes, the steam client is DRM but the developers are not forced to use it...

those reasons are valid before first time one encounter situation when one can't play game because steam can't log in, steam can't update etc.
that is why in long term gog is better than steam.

Well, the shitty curating on GOG is a main reason - and independent of server problems....

And again, it's not the fault of Steam if a developer makes it mandatory to have a working online connection of the steam client. There are enough examples of games that don't need that at all.
