On Sep 28th 2019 EA-Hotfix-1 was out:
https://steamcommunity.com/games/921800/announcements/detail/1584628547400799908

In the end it says "Steam page and Steam community are the most important for us - we are going to follow up those closely for your feedback on the game".

I understand that Steam community is vaster, the market is greater, but it still doesn't sound great. Does it mean there's a chance nobody from the dev team will pay any attention to the GOG forum, bug reports, requests, etc. etc.

I'm not against Steam community by any mean and I'm also not ranting about this approach and the devs are actually very active and responsive in their official Discord server, but it'd be great to know all gamers were treated equally regardless of the platform they use.

Don't know if anyone from the dev team has an account here, but it's probably worth to pin a topic with the link to their Discord server so that we could add something to the discussion: https://discordapp.com/invite/w7QguaJ

They already fixed the issue of some the GOG bug but the main issue I would say is we need an offical GOG person to REVIEW THE PATCH ALREADY since it not automatic like steam.

It's not the Devs. so sad to see GOG lags behind in regards to updates.

I've also contacted GoG support, they are 'forwarding the issue to the product team.'

The patch has been available to GoG for over 36 hours at this point.

I get what seems like one to two emails a day about sales for old games I don't want from GOG. But I can't get one person to allow a patch through?

Where is best to get a hold of a dev? I need to just change my KS copy from GOG to steam so I can get updates in a timely manner.
In my experience on a lot of these Kickstarter projects, the developers tend to get their patches ready by eod friday. They push it out to Steam immediately and present it to GOG. GOG staff has gone for the day (the one's needed to process it, anyway) and the staffing over the weekend is spotty. Typically you have to wait for monday.

Perils of a: earl;y adoption, and b: working with ba smaller, less rich platform. Personally, I preferentially buy single player games on GoG, because i like their business practices.

Thats why I picked to have encased on GOG, to support GOG and start moving my purchases to GOG. But with an early access game updates will be common and testing is the whole point of me playing. Testing an older version is just a waste of time, in many cases.

Yeah, I saw it too, but this was not very accurate. The fix was out on 28th and the game was published on GOG on 26th, so I don't see how it's possible to be uncertain about the platform you've already pushed the game to.

Just to clarify, the initial post wasn't about the fix or the delay which is usual business with GOG, but about the devs paying a little bit more attention to all gamers, not only those from the biggest platform, thus I suggested to indicate they're very active on Discord server and maybe it's worth to go there instead of waiting for their replies on GOG.

Personally I've switched from Steam to GOG several years ago because of almost non-existent support and known cases when people were unreasonably banned with all money they invested to the wallet stuck there forever. I knew about one user that was unblocked eventually, but they made it look like an exceptional case and all that seemed very very far from being a friendly community.
So this patch is still not up? Makes it kinda hard to support GOG on new games when the patches are always lagging behind.

It's still not up.
And while we are still discussion some age old bugs, on steam they are at least one, if not two patches ahead.
So as a developer I would not pay that much attention to the GOG community because they are behind a lot...

2-3 days is not that much considering they'll have not many EA Hotfixes (it's shown at the start of the game). Besides it's not a big team, they won't be able to fix everything instantly and gathering information from multiple sources can be beneficial. Or even better channel everything to a single place.

We will see how long it will take in the end...

It's out now, less than 3 days, seems pretty reasonable to me.
