Just downloaded the game and got to the second mission and seems like i cant plant any crops. Whenever i place a farmhouse or hemp house and then try to plant crops it never goes green only red. Not sure what to do about it?

Are you receiving any game messages explaining why you can't build there?

I am having the same issue. I can plant the millet crops just fine. I cannot plant the hemp. Message is "Must build on cleared land" but the land is clear. I built the 2nd farmhouse, it has road access and plenty of room, dark blue on the watertable, farmhouse is green. and nothing. Every place I try to plant is red. I have rebuilt this farmhouse several times, always checking the watertable. I think this second campaign is broken?

Figured it out! It's a "different farmhouse" You have to choose the hemp farmhouse to plant hemp crops. Duh!! I totally missed there were 2 types of farmhouses.
