Hi
I've just downloaded Emperor ROTMK and when it gets to the player screen the buttons won't click for single player/multiplayer/map etc, so I can't play, I'm on windows 10 anyone have a fix??? thanks.
Are you using the widescreen patch or not? Did you make sure to follow all the instructions to install it, if you are? It works just fine on my end, so you may not be clicking on them in the right place, or you've not installed the WS patch properly. :)

I'm not using the widescreen patch, and I installed it from GOG Galaxy, I've already tried verifying files, it found none to verify, I'm at a loss as to what to do.
I didn't install using GOG Galaxy, I installed using the old GOG Downloader, so maybe GOG Galaxy is just messing up the game in some way: newer tools can cause problems with these older classical games. Uninstall, then install using GOG Downloader: the older downloader can be found at the following link: https://www.gog.com/downloader

You can then install Emperor via the Account -> Library page and selecting the option to download using GOG Downloader Links. :)

I just uninstalled and reinstalled like you said, but still cant click any buttons, anyone else have this problem.

Right I know what it is, the cursor is WAAAAAAAY off so to click I have to move it all over the place until it lights a button up then move it around from there which is a major pain, how can I fix this, does anyone know, thanks.

That's almost certainly an issue caused by resolution not being scaled correctly and therefore, things aren't being positioned correctly on the screen by the scaler. Try installing the widescreen patch for your screen's native resolution, it may fix the problem.
There's an earlier thread about similar problem:
https://www.gog.com/forum/emperor_rise_of_the_middle_kingdom/mouse_cursor_off/post1
The solution there is was to 'Disable display scaling on high DPI settings' in the compatibility settings.

Good find. I might actually add that to the useful links sticky. :)
