Hello everybody,

if anybody - like me - has a problem that the cutscenes in Elex are cropped when using super/ultra-widescreen, then you need to edit the ELEX.exe with a Hexeditor.

On the row "560EBD" you will find the entry "39 8E E3 3F". You will need to change this entry.

Change the entry to your desired resolution/aspect ratio.

Values:
21:9 (2560x1080) = 26 B4 17 40
21:9 (3440x1440) = 8E E3 18 40
21:9 (3840x1600) = 9A 99 19 40
32:9 (3840x1080) = 39 8E 63 40

Greetings
Hi TheHexer_pcg,

many thanks for sharing that solution. Its working!!!! I used the Hex-Editor MX to perform your changes (seems not to work with every hex editor...)

Now I can enjoy Elex in 32:9, its great :-)

Best regards
I want the resolution "32:9 (5120x1440)" but I have no idea how to convert that in hex?

On the row "560EBD" you will find the entry "39 8E E3 3F". You will need to change this entry
32:9 (3840x1080) = 39 8E 63 40
You'll need a hex editor to change the value.

That's for 32:9 (3840x1080), I wanted 32:9 (5120x1440).

in later versions it is at another position in the file. Search with your hex-editor for the codes "39 8E E3 3F" in the file. It is only to find at one position.

But as always: backup the original file before any change is saved.
I guess this is valid fort the steam version, too. But can't check, because I do not have the steam version (why should I?).
