I'm in Mournhold and the map of the city is much bigger than the screen - can I scroll it in order to find a location offscreen?

Also, when I fulfil a quest, the quest item is still in my log. Can these be removed in some way?

Mournhold? Arena? Or rather Morrowind?
Arena: You can scroll the map with the help of the compass (the manual explains it).
Morrowind: Scroll with the help of the mouse.
"Quest item in log": Do you mean "quest entry in log" or "quest item in inventory"? In the second case, you can drop all items in both games.
