Hi all, loving GoG.com so far :D
After some tweaking of the .conf files i've discovered that the game looks great with direct3d and a pixelshader but will not scale when windowed, which is fine.
opengl looks almost as good and does scale but it will not play the sounds for firing the gun or the head whip and misc other sounds. Anyone got a fix?
Cheers

Could you post whats in the config file so I could take a look?
Also try changing your sounds hardware acceleration to see if that helps it any.

Dunno what of that is relevent but there it is. Changing the hardware accell didnt seem to help much,
I can't see how to get the sound to work in opengl from this config, the game may actually use directsound which I think needs directdraw. Instead if you want to play earthworm jim in a window lets see if we can get it to scale to the right size in directdraw.
Try changing scaler=none to scaler=2xsai and tell me what that does. Also try changing apsect=false to aspect=true. Try these things one at a time and reset to the original setting should it not work.

Is this the real configfile distributed by GOG ? *cries*
try changing irq=5 to irq=7 (as now it conflicts with the irq of the gus)
Qbix:
No, i cut out most of the comments that explain what the different options to (breifly anywyay)
and theres some more options at the end that are to do with things like gamepads and weirdly, printers.
Ralackk:
Thanks for the suggestion i'll try it when i get back tonight.
