I played these games on SNES, but I would consider buying them from this site, just because gog.com deserves the cash and I love my gaming laptop.
I'm wondering are there any differences between the SNES and PC versions?
Thanks.
I own the special windows PC version of EWJ1 and it's the sega cd version. It has full colour, a full CD soundtrack and an extra level. So yes, it's miles ahead of the snes version. Can't say anything about 2 though, never owned it.

The PC version of 2 isn't as huge a leap as the first one, but it still has, from what I can recall, a better soundtrack. I don't think there are any extra levels on it, though.
Sweet, Thank You!

I'm also wondering about EWJ2, is it based on the Saturn version? And what about the soundtracks?
I can't wait to play the trivia game again.
How viable is it to play EWJ 1and 2 using the keyboard and mouse? I've been wanting to play them again but don't have the original versions.
I vaugly remeber it having a level select aswell...

EWJ1 controlled perfectly fine with a keyboard. Dunno about EWJ2 though, I've never played it.
Well it looks like the EWJ1 that'll be sold here is the DOS version which doesn't have all of the features the windows 95 version had (besides the music) but the EWJ2 graphics on the pc are just plain bad in some places compared to the SNES version

Where did you learn this? I can't find any info on which release it is.

The PC-DOS release of EWJ2 had pretty much all the graphics completely "remastered", this unfortunately meaning that they just don't gel as well in some places as the originals. Kinda like, say, the generally-liked classical graphics of Super Mario Bros., versus the remade graphics in Mario All-Stars. The new graphics are smoother, yes, but something about them just seems off at times. I recall the music being pretty rad, though.
If you were talking about EWJ1, I'm pretty sure it's basically the Genesis version (Intestinal Distress included but not Big Bruty, nor the extra level segments in the Special Edition), but with the CD music featured in the Special Edition. I think. Maybe. Not as sure about this one.
According to the article linked in another thread, the DOS version seems to be based off the Megadrive/Genesis version but missing both Intestinal Distress and Lorenzo's Soil.
So I take it that the PC EWJ titles aren't playable with a PC gamepad?
I can't imagine they'd leave out controller support, and even if they did you can always use one of those programs that let you program your controller.

With Joy2Key, anything is.
